Q. The 69th Amendment gave Delhi the name

The 69th Amendment Act of 1991 inserted Article 239AA into the Constitution. This amendment gave Delhi the status of a National Capital Territory (NCT) with a legislative assembly and a council of ministers. It recognized Delhi as a special Union Territory with its own legislature and a limited state-like government, different from other Union Territories. Hence, Delhi became the National Capital Territory of Delhi (NCT Delhi).
